We had such a fun day at Paige Elementary School today! Today was their earth day celebration. We handed out free popcorn, did seed planting activities, and because of our grant from the Evangelism Foundation we were able to support the PETTING ZOO AND PONY RIDES that was brought to the elementary school today!
A really exciting highlight from today is that Paige Elementary has been wanting to connect with Northern Rivers. For many different reasons it is a challenge to bring kids (who stay in a facility for a large variety of reasons) to an inside event at an elementary school, but today's event was outside. I reached out to Northern Rivers several weeks ago to tell them about this event and how there would be a petting zoo with pony rides- and today they were able to bring some of the children over to the school for this event! I was so excited for this connection to happen.
This is the work of ministry. It looks like presence. It looks like relationships forming. It looks like barriers coming down and communities drawing closer together. It looks like the love of Christ made visible in ordinary, beautiful moments.
Grateful to serve in a neighborhood that is leaning toward one another and choosing connection.
